Suffolk is one of the safest and most peaceful counties in the UK. It is a fairly rural county, with vibrant towns, beautiful villages and a wonderful coastline.
Suffolk Libraries are great place to start: with free Internet access, staff who are there to help and advise you, free loan of books, local information boards and a selection of local, national and international papers and magazines for you to read.
Suffolk Tourist Information Centres can help you get around and advise you on what is happening across the county. They also have free guides and information about the rest of the UK.
There are many organisations in Suffolk here to guide and support you – if you encounter problems the local Citizens Advice Bureau or the local District and Borough Councils can advise you. There are also many smaller community organisations here to help, you can find them on the Suffolk Directory.
If you are looking for work, need your National Insurance Number, need advice or support you can visit your local Job Centre Plus.
