- Overload your bicycle when carrying goods - Cycle when drunk or after taking drugs - Cycle on motorways - Carry a passenger unless your cycle has been built to carry one - Cycle on the footpath unless it is a marked cycle path |

It is a legal requirement to use lights on your bike at night and if you are caught without them you can receive a fine. It is advisable to wear reflective clothing to ensure other road users can see you clearly. |

You are not allowed to ride on the pavement in the UK or through a pedestrian area. If caught you can receive a fine.
You must ride on the road keeping close to the left side.
