Housing associations, also known as Registered Social Landlords, provide affordable rented housing across the UK. These properties are normally allocated to those people with the most need or at risk. You need to join the Housing Register with your local council and you will be placed on a waiting list; your personal circumstances will determine how quickly you move up the list and into accommodation. Rents are usually lower with Housing Associations than private rental accommodation. For further information on Local Housing Associations and to find out if you are eligible, contact your local District or Borough Council for advice and a list of contact information. |
